About Laura

I found myself at a point in my life where my world was spiraling out of control. I was lost. I've always believed in God, but I never truly had a relationship with God. Until one day, I truly felt I needed him. I dropped to my knees and prayed. I spoke to God for the first time... Ever since that day, my life has been transformed.  A couple of days later, I saw this movie, Gods not Dead. I then knew that I needed to be part of a Christian community. We Googled Christian churches and found Trinity Grace Church, which my mother told me about months before, but I was too busy then. Our first day at church was at the all parish day at the Marriot Marquis and from that day on my life changed. I was touched by God. I see things differently. From the way I look at the world, to the music I listen to. I have this want to just be humble and giving when and where I can. Live an unselfish life.  I got my family back by just realizing that my presence was all they needed. I now understand " I was lost but now I'm found" in the song Amazing Grace. My life has perspective and I have a relationship with my savior, lord Jesus Christ.  I got baptized shortly after, where I made the vow to leave my old life behind and follow the way of the Lord.  The journey will not be easy, but with community, family, and God's love everything is possible.

I created this blog to share my journey, my thoughts, my view of the world (from behind the camera), other's stories and to do as Jesus commanded us to do, Share the GOOD NEWS...

Update on About Me:

A year later, God has lead me to great things.  I am pursing a Masters Degree in Human Services Counseling for Marriage and Family with Christian perspective at Liberty University, I became a Child Ambassador for the Wolrd Vision Organization where I help children living in poverty and dangerous places get sponsors, I am starting to train for the Leadership program at Young Life, have been active with my Church communicty, and most of all God has has strengthened me and my family. All in the name of Jesus.
