Blessed

He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of all he created. James 1:18
Today is my birthday and I couldn't help but to reflect on God's love, his blessings, his promise, and the journey he has planned out for me. In my past life, before being born again, I use to dread my birthday. I saw it as another year of getting older and thought of all the things I haven't accomplished yet. I was too blind to see the blessing of life, family, friends and the things God has blessed me with.
This birthday is different. I can truly appreciate the things that God has blessed me with. The things that most may see as "little" things are the true riches of life. My riches have been my family that has always supported me, friends that reach out to me even if I haven't been around all the time, my church community that support and pray for me through my journey, but most of all My Lord and Savior who gave me life in this world, but gave me new life through the Holy Spirit. He has blessed me with strengthening my marriage, making me see the truth through his word and always being by my side guiding me and using me as a vessel in his larger plan. It is and always has been way beyond me. Jehovah has opened my eyes where I can now truly see the true blessings, gifts, and purpose. The gift of forgiveness, the gift of love, the gift of giving, the gift of truth through the word of God, and the gift of knowledge knowing the good Lord is always on by my side.
On my birthday, I want to send out a prayer to all.. May God open your eyes, so you can see the blessings and good things in your life. Just look and see the treasures and riches that you do have around you. Don't focus on the negative. May you trust in God and in his word, so you can be guided and spread the good news through your own testimony of the supernatural things that you will see will happen in your life, once you come to the Lord.
