Yoga pose of the week

Side Plank Pose (Vasisthasana)

Hold for 30 seconds and switch sides

Benefits:

  1. Strengthens the arms, belly, and legs

  2. Stretches and strengthens the wrists

  3. Stretches the backs of the legs (in the full version)

  4. Improves sense of balance

(Students with serious wrist, elbow, or shoulder injuries should avoid this pose)

Mantra:

"For I am the LORD your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you." Or

"Think we'll to be well".
